Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi Welcome Architectural Digest into Beverly Hills Home

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s invited Architectural Digest into the three-acre compound for this month’s issue, and there’s certainly plenty to see – a large painting by Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat and loads of other artworks; tables, chairs, blankets and rugs from various continents and centuries; shoe shelves filled with sneakers and stilettos; and a luxurious pool out back with sweeping views of Los Angeles. 



DeGeneres is like a kid in a candy store when it comes to real estate and interior design. “We never had a house when I was growing up,” she tells the magazine. “We always rented. But my father would dream, and we used to look at houses all the time. I’d pick out which bedroom would be mine and get all excited.” 


She adds: “The first thing I did when I made money was buy a house. And then…” 

“Another one,” De Rossi says. “And another one and another one and another one.”
